My husband and I are moving to Florida soon, and we’ve been online looking for available apartments. We found one apartment complex that seemed to have all the amenities we’ve been praying for, and I had a niece, who lives near there, scout out the outside to see what she could see. God is so often thought of as an angry, punishing God. It’s not so! If you read my book, “GOD IS NOT A STUFFED SHIRT,” you’ll get to experience the love of God by discerning my relationship with Him through my poetry. I love Him like the wonderful, heavenly Father that He is. I confide in Him, I ask for His help in all kinds of trouble, and He answers me. Continue reading “A LOVING GOD!”
In my last blog post, I mentioned election madness and suggested that the only way we can expect sanity in our government is to allow God’s government to permeate ours. I truly believe that – but what does that really mean and how can “I” possibly do that? Most of us believe that anything labelled “supernatural” is some kind of spooky fiction; good or bad. But prayer is simply a supernatural request for some kind of supernatural answer. One of the main elements of prayer is faith – calling forth something unseen, as though it already exists. Election madness is portrayed on every news station these days, and will be for many months to come. Sometimes I wonder how this country is ever going to survive being governed by 3 year olds! I know the answer to that question – by accepting God’s government into the world. Listen to this: Continue reading “GOD HELP US!”

DEAR LORD JESUS,
I WANT TO, I HAVE TO, I LONG TO KNOW YOU INTIMATELY, LOVINGLY, REVERENTLY. I WANT TO WALK WITH YOU, AND BREATHE YOU IN, I WANT TO SOAR THROUGH THE HEAVENS WITH YOU. I WANT TO TALK WITH YOU AND LISTEN TO YOUR SECRETS; I WANT TO LAUGH WITH YOU, LONG AND HARD UNTIL TEARS RUN DOWN OUR CHEEKS; AND I WANT TO TOUCH YOU AND FEEL YOUR ARMS AROUND ME; I WANT TO HOLD HANDS WITH YOU. I WANT TO WHISPER LOVE SONGS TO YOU AND LOOK DEEPLY INTO YOUR EYES. I WANT TO KISS YOUR SOFT, FLAWLESS CHEEK, AND LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY PASSION. I WANT TO SIT BESIDE YOU ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER OF LIFE, AND BE YOUR FRIEND FOREVER.

Joyce Meyer says: “When God tells us to be joyful, He doesn’t mean that we’re supposed to be happy about everything that happens to us. Some things are too painful for us to be happy about. But, joy comes from knowing that God is in control. He also wants us to pray about everything. He wants us to talk to Him about things in our life and to thank Him because He’s molding us into His image through every circumstance.” Continue reading “‘BE JOYFUL AND THANKFUL’ BY JOYCE MEYER”

BETHANY CHURCH IN GREENLAND, NH just sponsored a live Christmas concert that went out to troops everywhere in the world. It was awesome! The talent, amazing! It brought me to tears when they introduced an adorable 7 year old to sing an original song about the things he would miss with his daddy deployed overseas during Christmas. There are times when I feel super close to our beloved Father in Heaven, and sometimes not so much. I always love Him, but I don’t always feel it in my heart; I KNOW it but I just don’t always glow with it. Well, you get the picture. One thing I DO know is that Jesus never feels distant from us. He’s ALWAYS in reach and always in LOVE. It’s just that sometimes we have to ask for what we want. Consider this Scripture… Continue reading “FULFILLMENT”

Joan Dantos says: “What I especially like about your book is its ability to transport me through a secret passage to a place of complete faith. Your sometimes funny, sometimes serious poetry shows a pure (child-like) love for God that is a thing of bliss and something all of us search for. I laughed and I cried as I read your poems.
