I’ve written a few pieces on beauty and our misconceptions about it. I do this now and then because in our society, much emphasis is placed on how a person should look, and it almost always uses “perfect” women as an example – perfect shiny hair with no split ends, perfect symmetrical features, flawless skin, perfect white teeth, and don’t forget the perfect figure, and the perfect clothes! I’m generalizing and exaggerating, of course, but I’m not too far off the mark. Continue reading “SPIRITUAL BEAUTY”
“No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:13-15.
“If I am condemned, why then do I labor in vain? If I wash myself with snow water, and cleanse my hands with soap, yet You will plunge me into the pit, and my own clothes will abhor me. “For He is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together. Nor is there any mediator between us, who may lay his hand on us both.” Job 9:29-35. Continue reading “Why Christ, Our Mediator, Had To Become A Man!”
Salvation, or, being “saved” does not happen simply because you go to church, or read the Bible, or even pray. Believing in God does not mean that your salvation is a done deal either. Continue reading “JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION”
The only thing I really learned from last night’s Presidential Debate was that it’s easy to mouth the words. How they’ll play out in actuality is anyone’s guess.
I wrote a poem in my book, “GOD IS NOT A STUFFED SHIRT,” entitled “POLITICIANS.” I think it’s relevant at this time and I’d like to share it with you: Continue reading “THE ONE TRUE GOVERNMENT”
