Think of God and what picture comes to mind? An old man with a long beard and wild hair? Perhaps God sits on a throne, His expression angry with fiery eyes, and, for good measure He’s holding a bolt of lightning, ready to knock someone dead and send them to hell. I think not!
The Word of God, (the Bible), has many Scriptures revealing the true nature of God, and unlike many people may think, He is not angry and vengeful. God IS love.
Jesus gave Himself as a living sacrifice for all mankind and died on the Cross, paying the ultimate price for all of our sins. A sinless Man Himself, He took our punishment for us. And, since He rose again from the dead, Father God is able to look at us all and, through Jesus, have a loving, intimate relationship with us, His children. Continue reading “Mankind, You Are Loved”
Salvation, or, being “saved” does not happen simply because you go to church, or read the Bible, or even pray. Believing in God does not mean that your salvation is a done deal either.

The other day, my husband opened his hand and told me to look. There on his palm were several perfect acorns – little tiny ones. We laughed because they were so cute. Then we began looking around at the hundred year old Live Oaks that surrounded us and began to wonder at the fact that those huge beautiful trees, replete with Spanish moss, daintily draped from their branches, began their lives as acorns.
